The Town of Westerly seeks applicants for the following full-time positions: Laborer: Department of Public Works/Utility Division/Water Department Monday - Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM- Performs general labor involved in construction, installation, maintenance and repairs of Town's properties including but not limited digging ditches, installing and maintaining water and sewer lines, and other general maintenance and labor responsibilities. Class B CDL required with the ability to operate and maintain heavy power equipment such as jackhammers, power mowers, and chainsaws. Laborer: Department of Public Works Tuesday Saturday 7:30AM to 4:00 PM Performs general labor involved in construction, installation, maintenance and repairs of Town's properties including sewer lines and water lines, highways, sidewalks, public buildings and grounds. Class B CDL required with the ability to operate and maintain heavy power equipment such as jackhammers, compressors, power mowers, and chainsaws. Must be able/willing to work all shifts, overtime as requested and in all weather conditions 2 Heavy Equipment Operators - Department of Public Works Tuesday Saturday 7:30AM to 4:00 PM Operates and provides minor maintenance of heavy motor vehicles such as street sweepers, backhoes, pay loaders, graders, and bulldozers as well as performs duties of a laborer. RI Hoisting Operators License, Class A CDL and HS Diploma or GED required. 3 years of related experience preferred. Must be able/willing to work all shifts, overtime as requested and in all weather conditions Light Equipment Operator - Department of Public Works Tuesday Saturday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (days may be subject to change) Operates and provides maintenance of motor vehicles such as dump trucks, street sweepers and tractor trailer trucks as well as performs duties of a laborer. Class A CDL and HS Diploma or GED required. 3 years of related experience preferred.
