Walco Electric is currently hiring for Regional Service Technicians in the Providence, RI vicinity.

Walco provides maintenance, repair and modernizations for all manufacturers of overhead cranes and industrial lifting equipment. We are proud to be US owned and operated.

Skills and Knowledge Expectations:

As a Service Technician, your duties will include:

• Craft and technical services for commercial industry clients
• Hands-on mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Providing customer support for parts and material orders
• Preparing required reports and administrative paperwork
• Working in various environments which may require standing, walking, bending, and crawling
• Working at heights and frequent travel within a 2-hour radius
• Occasional overnight travel required

You are a great fit for our team if you have:

• A strong background in AC electromechanical and solid state motor control systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Mechanical experience with gear reducers and drive systems
• Prior overhead crane experience preferred
• Ability to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
• Basic computer skills to work with web-based applications
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• A commitment to working safely
