 Job Description – Facility / Maintenance Mechanic

Reports To: Vice President of Operations

Position Level: Hourly

Morvillo Precision Products is an industry leader in the supply of precious metals alloy, raw materials, components and finished product to the industrial, automotive, and medical & jewelry markets.

Position Summary:

Morvillo Precision Products is seeking a full time Facility’s / Maintenance Technician to support our daily manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain machines and the facility equipment.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities as well as welding and metal fabrication.
  • Perform equipment and building maintenance utilizing skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & hydraulics.
  • Performs plumbing maintenance.
  • Completes various carpentry repairs, painting repairs and construction (drywall, replacing doors, build shelves, etc.)
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to work in all types of weather.
  • Have full body mobility and be able to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat and go up and down stairs
  • Able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.
  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three to five years of experience in building trades, building maintenance and or repair.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and good mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of terminology and ability to use common hand and power tools, and building materials in the process of corrective and preventative building & equipment maintenance.
