Coordinator of School and Transitional Program

Full Time Position 35 hours

Looking Upwards, a human service agency supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities is seeking to hire an individual to oversee an innovative and growing program committed to meeting the educational and transitional needs of students in various school districts in Rhode Island. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated successful skills in job development, supervision, communication skills, computer skills and strong leadership abilities.
 

The preferred candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in education or a related field
• Have experience in ORS related services
• Be ACRES trained or have a Masters in Rehab Counseling
• Able to supervise and work with Assistant Coordinator to ensure program and staffing needs are met
• Able to professionally interact with various school personnel and other stakeholders
• Attended state wide meetings
• Demonstrates strong writing skills
• Able to work with Program Administrator to develop and manage outcomes
• Ability to work effectively with a team demonstrating strong team approach
• Demonstrates family centered practices
• Able to be self-directed
• High flexibility
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong Computer skills

Starting rate of pay is $18.97 per hour
