BEHAVIORAL CONSULTANT

We are seeking to interview and hire a Behavioral Consultant.  Candidate must be enthusiastic and able to design, coordinate, implement and monitor behavioral programs utilizing a positive behavioral approach.  Candidate should also be interested in working in a wide variety of programs such as schools, home based services and day care.  If you are vision focused, team oriented, highly organized, flexible, able to work evenings and weekends, energetic, self-directed, solution oriented with strong communication, interpersonal, supervisory, leadership, organizational and computer skills then please forward your resume to ahalm@lookingupwards.org.

The following qualifications are necessary:

• 3 years of experience working in field of developmental disabilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required
• Experience and proficiency in designing, implementing and overseeing specific behavioral programs
• Critical thinking skills, creativity, innovation and flexibility a must
• Writing, organizational, computer skills necessary
• Ability to work in home setting
• Ability to work with numerous family members and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to maintain a database and monthly behavioral notes
• Ability to work varied hours to meet the needs of the program
• Ability to travel within Rhode Island
• Ability to work effectively in schools
