TOWN OF CHARLESTOWN, RI POLICE OFFICER The Charlestown Police Department is currently seeking qualified entry level and certified officer candidates to fill existing vacancies within the organization for the position of: Probationary Police Officer. Current salary for this position is $52,304.00 with a generous benefit package. Upon successful completion of a one year probationary period, candidates will advance to permanent police officer status at the rate of pay of $61,384.00, with four annual salary step increases to $65,602.00. Applicants must meet all minimum qualifications for the probationary police officer position.
