POSITION TITLE:

NORTH ATTLEBORO ELECTRIC - GENERAL MANAGER

The North Attleborough (MA) Electric Department (NAED) is seeking a General Manager.

NAED’s General Manager is responsible for the planning, organization and direction of all operations, activities, and personnel of North Attleborough Electric Department. NAED is the sole

provider of electricity to the Town of North Attleborough, a community of 28,000 inhabitants.

The Department has annual revenues of over $30 million dollars.

The successful candidate will provide the managerial dedication, personal efforts, customer

service and strategic planning skills required to ensure that NAED continues to provide its ratepayers; competitive rates, reliable distribution services, quality customer services and effective emergency responses.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in public or business administration, electrical engineering or a related field

with ten (10) years of progressively responsible management experience in a public or private

sector electric department, or in a public or private sector management position; or an equivalent

combination of education and experience.

Candidates should exhibit professional skills and experiences that include, but are

not limited to:

Extensive knowledge of electric/utility department operations, administration and management

practices and procedures; knowledge of the application of state and federal laws and policies that

impact municipal electric departments in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Extensive knowledge and experience in fiscal management and budgeting, capital improvement

planning, public sector collective bargaining, organizational development & planning, power

planning and human resources management.

Ability to develop, in concert with the Board of Electric Commissioners, staff and customers, organization- wide priorities designed to lead and work cooperatively to support the mission, fiscal

integrity and objectives of the North Attleborough Electric Department.

Ability to analyze complex issues and to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations.

The anticipated salary range for the position is $143,744 - $229,992. DOQ
