Plastic Extruder Operators Cable Components Group, a growing manufacturer of extruded plastics in Pawcatuck, CT, has openings for first and second shift extruder operators; as well as positions wherein CCG would train you on polymer extrusion. Responsibilities and objectives for operating extrusion equipment include: Set-up machinery by installing the proper tooling and incorporating the proper raw materials Monitor control panels and make required adjustments in accordance with written machine and processing parameters and verbal instructions Observe and read instruments, gauges and dials to determine operating conditions Operate hoists, power and non-power hand tools Inspect, examine and observe for product and equipment defects. Read, understand and carry out oral and written instructions Driven by continuous process improvement and LEAN manufacturing Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years' experience as an extruder operator Wage rate ranges from $12.00 to $16.00/hr. depending on extrusion experience, plus applicable shift differentials.
