Maintenance Technician
Location: North Kingstown, RI

As a Maintenance Technician for our client located in North Kingstown, RI, you will be responsible for providing engineering/technical support for all electronic printing machinery/equipment about Health & Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

 

A week in the life of a Maintenance Technician:

You will maintain equipment to provide safe, reliable & efficient production while adhering to all OSHA regulations/policies.

You will fault find and repair to provide optimum uptime of equipment.

You will provide instruction and guidance to production operators on machine operation and basic maintenance.

You will liaise with equipment suppliers to undertake machinery diagnostics/upgrades and modifications.

You will assist in the control/management of spares while ensuring the database is up to date.

You will escalate all issues of downtime to the Maintenance Manager or Production Team Manager and enter details of maintenance and downtime in Engineers machine log.

You will ensure continued high standards of housekeeping.

You will provide Technical Support to other facilities

Other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

To succeed at this job, you must have Proven Engineering/Technical grounding in mechanical and electrical disciplines.

You must have the ability to identify faults quickly and provide prompt support to solve problems

You must be computer literate and possess good communication, organizational and time management skills

It will be preferred, if you know Datacard/Bell & Howell/Pitney Bowes machinery, as well as fault finding at board level and a good understanding of computer hardware/architecture.
