Position Title Driver - Morning FriarSERVE and Service Programs
Overview
Transporting students to off-campus activities. Must be 21 years of age and have a valid Rhode Island Chauffeur's license, or out of state equivalent license. This is a part-time position.
Essential Duties:
1. Operate college vehicles to provide safe transportation of students to and from event/activity locations.
2. Abide by all rules and regulations of the College, and all local, state, federal laws and regulations.
3. Report any issues or incidents to supervisor(s) and/or to the Department of Public Safety; such as, problematic behavior, policy violations or vehicle issues.
4. Enforce all College and Department of Transportation policies and procedures.
5. Obtain and submit all required materials and forms including, itineraries, rosters, and waivers.
6. Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles, including the vehicle's interiors and exteriors.
Marginal Duties:
Education and Experience Required
- High School diploma required.
- Must be 21 years of age and have a valid
Rhode Island Chauffeur's License (or equivalent out of state license) for a minimum of one or more years.
- Must possess and maintain a clean driving record.
- Flexibility of schedule and willingness to be on call is desired.
- Two or more years experience driving 12 passenger vans preferred.
Physical Demands
• Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
• Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
• Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard
• Communication skills using the spoken word
• Ability to see within normal parameters
• Ability to hear within normal range
• Ability to move about
