About TerraCorps:

TerraCorps is an AmeriCorps affiliated environmental nonprofit growing a more equitable ecosystem of people and organizations to protect and steward land for broader good. Working at the intersection of land conservation, sustainable agriculture and food justice, we seek to bridge the gap between the urban, rural and suburban land movements historically segregated by socio-economic divides. Through our generative service, training and partnership model, we cultivate future conservation leaders and offer immediate capacity support to the local organizations they serve.

The Greene School is an intentionally diverse community that prioritizes the success of every child every day.  Resources are allocated to transport, target instruction, and provide the resources necessary to meet the needs of each student and staff member.  Additionally, The Greene School is committed to educating staff and community members on culturally competent and relevant practices as we continue to evolve system, programs, and learning experiences.

  1. Facilitate community outreach with agency partners to coordinate fieldwork experiences, organize service learning programming, and facilitate final product expositions that engage a broader more authentic audience.
  2. Engage with students during fieldwork experiences in a leadership role to model best practices alongside Greene School staff and agency partners as well as during in school workshops and expedition content across grade levels.
  3. Collaborate with crew (advisory) facilitators to support and coordinate stewardship projects including but not limited to work in our solar powered greenhouse, trail cultivation and maintenance, and management of our outdoor learning spaces.
  4. Recruit final product participants as we ensure an authentic audience for feedback and celebration.
