Admissions Assistant

Job Description

Job summary
Approximately 25 hours per week (September – May), the Admissions Assistant performs clerical tasks related to the efficient functioning of the Admissions Office. The Admission Assistant is expected to keep the needs and interests of the candidate first, to be a role model for current students, and to represent the school well. Summary of essential job functions

  • Welcome and greet visitors via phone and personally
  • Answer and/or refer inquiries
  • Maintain candidate database, including input data, process applications
  • Prepare office mailings
  • Maintains professionalism and discretion
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Skills and Abilities required:

  • Minimum of three to five years-experience working in an educational or non-profit environment preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five years-experience working with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, attention to detail, data entry, and analysis of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform the duties as described above; ability to work effectively with students and internal/external constituents, provide excellent customer service, and maintain the image of the School.

Supervisory Impact:
This role is not a supervisory role within the Admissions Office.

The Admissions Assistant needs to have excellent interpersonal skills
