The North Attleborough Electric Department, a municipal

electric utility with approximately 13,000 customer meters,

is seeking qualified candidates for the position of:

POSITION TITLE:

SUBSTATION & OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN

FULL TIME – 40 hours per week

IBEW Local 104-Unit B

Salary DOQ – Minimum of $27.57

Wage to include a $0.30/hour

hazardous duty differential.

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, installation and

operation of electrical equipment within the NAED substation as

well as maintain electrical data from meters and other recording

devices. Prepare and update substation and distribution

records and reports. Operate and maintain SCADA system and

distribution circuit breakers. Execute switching orders. Operate

and maintain all departmental equipment, vehicles and tools.

Qualifi cations include a High School Diploma or equivalent with

3-5 years of related experience preferred. A Class C contractor’s

license, CDL Class A, CPR/First Aid, Hoisting and Journeyman

Electrician certifi cation is desired. Position includes “on call”

standby duty with a thirty (30) minute required travel time

(by automobile) to the NAED Operations Center.
