The North Attleborough Electric Department, a municipal

electric utility with approximately 13,000 customer

meters, is seeking qualifi ed candidates for the position of:

POSITION TITLE:

METER TECHNICIAN

FULL TIME – 40 hours per week

IBEW Local 104-Unit B

Salary: $27.96 - $31.52 DOQ

Wage to include a $0.30/hour

hazardous duty diff erential.

Responsible for the collection of meter readings from

each service address of NAED and conduct most functions

within the Meter Department to include: Install/remove

single phase meters at customers’ premises. Collect all

consumption readings from NAED meters on a cycle

basis. Maintain meter department software. Interact with

customers in a professional manner. Please see the full job

Qualifi cations include a High School Diploma or equivalent

with 1-2 years of metering experience in an electric

utility or related experience. Must maintain CPR/First Aid

certifi cation. Successful candidate will be required to attend

a meter certifi cation program. Position includes “on call”

standby duty with a thirty (30) minute required travel time

(by automobile) to the NAED Operations Center.
