DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee maint of facilities; custodial and grounds personnel; service providers and contractors..

• Manage bldg automation and energy mgmt programs.

• Analyze tech and operational problems and devise solutions.

• Facilitate in the coordination of large projects energy conservation, asbestos removal and capital projects.

• Responsible for building security.

• Conduct continuing staff training including OSHA, EPA compliance, asbestos and MSDS.

• Prepare & administer annual department budget, purchase supplies, equip, & contracted services

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Five (5) years recent management experience in an educational or industrial environment

• BS in engrg or mgmt preferred;

• Construction supervisor’s license preferred

• Working knowledge of building codes & laws, especially safety codes

• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics & technical

manuals.

• Knowledge of plant facility operation, preventive maintenance, fiscal & personnel management & purchasing of supplies and materials

• Strong computer skills
