Clinical Supervisor/Wraparound Coach

SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Management Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and/or monitoring the site-based screening/triage and intake processes to ensure referrals are responded to in an appropriate and timely manner according to requirements of the FCCP Standards; including Emergency & Urgent Referrals during normal work hours (Mon to Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm)
  • Managing the Case Assignment process and ensuring appropriate staff assignments/caseloads;
  • Managing work schedules of FCCP Staff to ensure service availability consistent with requirements of the Standards (i.e. 12 hours weekdays, 8 hours weekends and holidays)
  • Share responsibilities, as part of the Urban Core FCCP Management Team under the leadership of the FCCP Director, for development and implementation of FCCP policies and procedures across all Urban Core FCCP sites and partner agencies as necessary to ensure compliance with the FCCP Standards and achieve efficient Urban Core FCCP operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring agency-specific orientation and training of FCCP staff as well as ensuring FCCP staff participation in FCCP specific trainings offered by the agency, partner agencies, DCYF, and other entities as appropriate and required by Standards.
  • Other FCCP related duties as assigned by the FCCP Director
  • Transport clients and family as needed.

Supervisor Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in the initial assessment process as needed;
  • Provide supervision to assigned FCCP staff and back-up coverage as needed for the Supervisor(s)
  • Wraparound Functions, including:
    • Responsible for efficacy of Family Care Plans and supports team integration and success;
    • Facilitates and monitors continued training and professional development plans for supervisees, is knowledgeable about and compliant with agency policies and best practices for types of families noted above, and ensures this information is shared with supervisees;
    • Provides strength-based supervision to Family Service Care Coordinators and Family Support Partners;
    • Develops and monitors professional development plans for supervisees;
    • Monitors the Wraparound Planning Team progress;
    • Provides problem-solving and develops strategies with teams as needed;
    • Ensures that culturally competent services, supports and resources are accessed for families;
    • High fidelity coach to Family Service Care Coordinators and Family Support Partners.
  •   Documentation Management:
    • Ensures collection, completion and routing of required records by supervisees (e.g. evaluations, assessments, required program documentation, individual child/family records, HIPAA consents, including privacy notice, Family Care Plans, required releases and client confidentiality forms, functional assessments for program evaluation such as the North Carolina Family Assessment, Ohio Scale, and Modified Children’s Global Assessment Scale);
    • Documents required for the RI Positive Educational Partnership initiative for RI PEP-involved families for the duration of that project;
    • Completes data collection as required for system evaluation and quality assurance.
  • Supervisory Duties for Service Provision, Coordination and Referral:
    • Monitors and evaluates the duties and responsibilities of the Family Service Care Coordinator, including the wraparound facilitation process, the wraparound planning team and care planning;
    • Evaluates staff performance;
    • Monitors and evaluates the duties and responsibilities of the Family Support Partner, including direct support offered to families and evaluates performance;
    • Monitors and evaluates all direct/clinical services provided to families by the Family Service Care Coordinator and the Family Support Partner;
    • Satisfies requirements for supervisory role in reviewing or completing the bio-psycho-social assessment information gathered by the FSCC and for making necessary diagnostic formulations using the DSM-IV-R, including follow-up interviews with the child and family when required.
  • Advocacy:
    • Supports wrap team integration and success, family empowerment, family choice and voice;
    • Employs a strength-based perspective and wraparound principles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in human services (psychology, social work, marriage/family, etc.) required. LICSW, LMHC, LMFT required. At least 1 year clinical supervisory experience

required.and 5 years’ experience providing family-based services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or administrative position.  Must be willing and able to share on-call administrative responsibilities and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

  • Travel to and from clients’ residence, community locations and office sites, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
  • Ability to life 20 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
