We are seeking a PASS Direct Support Worker to assist a 9 year old boy with Down Syndrome with being more independent at home and in the community.

PASS (Personal Assistance Services and Supports) is a family directed service provided across the state of Rhode Island.  The pay range is $10.00 to $12.73 an hour.  This is a great opportunity for a college student looking to gain experience in the education or human service field.

Location: The child lives in North Providence, Rhode Island.

Hours: This is a part time position - 12 hours a week. Family is flexible but would prefer Monday and Thursday after school and Saturday morning.

Job duties include: Implementing a Service Plan that addresses activities of daily living, social skills and safety skills at home and in the community; providing guidance and redirection; keeping progress notes; and collaborating with the child’s family on goals.

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma
2. Have a clear driving record with valid registration and car insurance
3. Will allow agency to obtain MVR and BCI clearance check
