OVERVIEW OF JOB
As our Licensed Clinician you will provide support and education to the Boys Town Foster Family Services Staff. You will be responsible for providing consultation to direct care staff regarding youth and family cases, as well as self-harm issues that may arise. You will participate in developing service planning strategies for youth, as well as provide clinical oversight as approved and directed by contract requirements. Additionally, you will deliver training in various psychological topics for direct care staff. As our Licensed Clinician, you will participate in selecting and communicating with contracted mental health providers. You will also be responsible for providing assessment and therapy services to those youth identified by contract. This may include providing individual, group, and family therapy to identified youth and families.
To be considered for this unique opportunity you will need:
Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work
LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LMHP or equivalent license
Two years of related experience working with youth and families
Must be a licensed and certified mental independent health practitioner in the state of Rhode Island
Knowledge of consultation, training, evaluation and administration
Ability to provide on-call support for clinical and crisis management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to youth care
Ability to assist with screening youth referrals and admissions
Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to assist with annual staff training of clinical updates as related to state regulatory compliance and treatment planning
Our Licensed Clinician will be required to provide community-based services in our foster homes and travel throughout the State of Rhode Island.
