Packers - 2nd & 3rd Shifts
- Responsibility for individual handling / packaging activities.
- Responsibility for adhering to policies and procedures related to customer requirements.
- Requires the ability to understand specific directions, follow guidelines that are common throughout the department, maintain a constant focus on quality and accuracy, follow directions, and work with moderate supervision.
- Experience within the department must be gained within the 90 day probationary period for use of specific inspection equipment, displaying an understanding of the job requirements and any devices required to complete handling / packaging activities.
- Specific competencies include but are not limited to: gowning procedure, product conformity, use of pin gages and customer fixtures, visual inspection and feel testing techniques, bagging, product labels and shipping containers, and product release.
- Possesses basic manual dexterity.
- An understanding and ability to speak English is highly desirable.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Good eyesight required.
- Good personal hygiene.
- Physical ability.
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to carry out instructions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
