Job Description for Marketing Manager, IMS

General Overview:

Develop and maintain IMS marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives.

Conduct extensive market research to determine the demand for products and services offered by the company and its competitors and identify potential customers.

Work closely with the Global Sales Manager, to develop pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing IMS profits and market share.

Oversee product development or monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services.

Work with the Applications Engineering Manager, Purchasing Manager and external partners to expand product offerings. Design and implement promotional programs that enhance the sales of IMS products.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for all MARCOM activities to include developing and maintaining the branding, marketing guidelines, all marketing communications both internal and external and marketing materials and displays for IMS.  Design, modify and maintain the company website. Promote company products via electronic, voice, or written media. 

 

Position Duties:

MARKETING MANAGEMENT (60% of Function): 

•           Monitor and Research the industry and competition to Manage the Marketing Function.

•           Establish and Chair Product Development Task Force. Meet monthly to discuss new products and product extensions based on market needs.

•           Develop an annual marketing plan.

•           Research competitors to determine pricing, products, and promotional activities.

•           Spearhead new product launch programs.

•           Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products and  services.

•           Investigate and coordinate with sales/purchasing the integration of partner products into IMS offerings.

•  Work closely with the Global Sales Manager, Applications and Manufacturing  Engineering and Sr. Management to create and maintain a 3-5 year marketing    plan and product road map consistent with IMS growth goals and objectives.

•           Promote corporate image through visual, written or electronic media.

 

MARCOM ELEMENTS (40% of Function):

•           Collect, review, distribute, and analyze incoming leads.

•           Develop and track annual MARCOM budget and budget expenditures.

•           Coordinate all E-Commerce activities.

•           Perform website functions to include participating in website design, programming, modifications, and site maintenance. 

•           Identify and target potential new customer segments.

•           Coordinate and maintain sampling and sampling collection data files; keep rep sales books up to date.

•           Collaborate with the Global Sales Manager to provide inputs concerning pricing related to competition and market pressures.

•           Manage all trade show activities to include booth design, location, and maintenance and transportation logistics

•           Design, print, and distribute graphic communications including but not limited to, brochures, data sheets, training material, Power Point Presentations, application notes, press releases and company newsletters.

•           Design advertisements and select placement to include media/timing.

•           Determine booth duty schedules, yearly theme and product promotions for trade shows.

•           Create and distribute field applications notes. 

•           Interact with Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and Management to verify product data accuracy.

•           Photograph marketing materials as needed.

•           Design and implement direct email marketing strategies and programs

•           All other duties as required.

 

Cooperation with Global Sales Manager: 

•           Work closely with the Global Sales Manager to ensure proper execution of strategies and policies.

•           Review market analyses to provide information to assist the scheduling of customer calls and recommendations.

•           Coordinate with Global Sales Manager to set up and assist the company at trade shows and other events as needed.

•           Prepare and present marketing presentations as required.

 

General Requirements:

            Comply with ISO requirements.

            Comply with IMS procedures and policies.

            Complete all duties as assigned by President

 

Position Reports To:

President, IMS

Education:
BA/BS in Marketing/Sales/Business Management with hiring preference for Advanced Degree.

Experience:

5 years or more experience in Marketing of OEM products with preference for experience in the Electronics Components Industry
