Marketing and Communications Associate

LCG clients share staff and technological systems across multiple clients from one central location, saving money and extending their reach. Job Description: This individual will work on a dynamic team to support the marketing of several client trade associations.  This position will:  (1) Develop event/sales marketing and communications plans with team leaders and then being responsible for their implementation; (2) Create and write successful marketing and PR pieces (i.e., press release, email blast, web text, articles); (3) run social media campaigns that incorporate best practices and techniques aimed at increasing both brand awareness and sales; and, creating metrics to tracking and reporting on results.

Skills and compensation:  Small, work friendly environment seeking marketing and communications Associate  to work between 15 and 25 hours weekly on a flexible schedule onsite; would consider allows some of this time to be provided remotely.  Candidates will be independent and have the interpersonal skills that are required to be successful in a small multi-client office environment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with InDesign by Creative Suites, Photoshop and Constant Contact and or MailChimp.  Experience in the outdoor recreation field preferred; recreational boating ideal.  Pay commensurate with experience and responsibilities.

                                                                                                 

Illustrative examples of responsibilities:

  1. Develop a full understanding of LCG and Client business in order effectively contribute to marketing planning and brainstorming.
  2. Work directly with staff responsible for day-to-day operations of client activities to collaboratively develop and execute marketing and communication plans for clients.  Areas where we are looking to increase brand awareness, visibility and sales include:
    1. Training
    2. Events
    3. Boat shows
    4. Membership drives
  3. Assist in maintenance of both LCG and Client websites; improve the look, style and use of Client web presence; optimize search results leading to increased traffic and sales. Be able to measure and report results.
  4. Create and deliver quality content including press releases, news articles, sales and marketing pieces, newsletter content, social media content, and web content.
  5. Deliver content via social channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.; Coordination of all social media accounts for our clients, ensuring that we are increasing range and impact of this effort.
  6. Track results of communication efforts and adjust to improve impact, measured in opening and click-through rates and, ultimately, increased sales.
  7. Work directly with staff to implement ongoing business development plan for company.
