Pet Crematory Technician

Position Hours: Vary between 2pm and 1am, 4 day - 10 hour work week.  Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri

 

Position Details:

Our pet crematory technicians are responsible for practical tasks involved in the cremation process.  As a crematory technician you will be responsible for operating the cremation equipment while ensuring proper procedures, safety precautions and regulations are followed at all times.  This position requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy and a demonstration of proper time management.  In this role, you will be responsible for identifying proper cremation services, conducting the cremation service, and ensuring proper storage of the cremation remains, as well as any other requests from the client. This position requires accurate, detailed, and thorough record keeping. The technician is additionally responsible in ensuring areas in and around the crematorium are kept clean and well maintained.

The crematory technician will be required to assist clients who schedule services directly at the facility.  When working with clients, it is utmost important that you are neat in appearance, and demonstrate compassion, sympathy and respect in all interactions. 

 

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a neat appearance and be able to express compassion and care when working with clients or in the presence of clients
  • Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs
  • Applicant will be required to submit to a physical and drug screening
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work within set regulations is a must
