Machinist

E.A. Dion, Inc., a manufacturer of emblematic and recognition jewelry

for over 45 years, located in Attleboro, Massachusetts, has an opening

for a Machinist.

The Machinist is responsible for the operation and set up of all manual

and automated equipment in the machine shop. This position is expected

to be able to understand abstract requirements and solve design

challenges in three dimensions.

Responsibilities:

• Build jigs and fixtures as needed.


• Work with small hand tools.


• Moldmaking duties required. Experience preferred, but will train.


• Assume responsibility for part quality while meeting set time standards.


• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to tooling.

Requirements:

• Experienced with setup and use of tool room equipment including,


• but not limited to, Bridgeports, manual lathes, surface grinders, and drill presses.


• Proficient with all shop measuring tools and able to read and understand drawings and blueprints.


• Must have a passion for continuous improvement and be recognized as a proactive problem solver.


• High School or Technical School graduate.


• Three to five years of experience in this role.


• Must be able to read and write English and have basic math skills.
