Job Description

 

Southern New England SMD electronic components manufacturer seeks an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic goal orientated Sr. Manager of Company Sales

Areas of Responsibility:

Managing all account sales resources including:

             -Regional Sales Managers

             -Applications Engineering Manager

             -In-House Sales Administrators

             -Global Sales Reps (through the Regional Sales managers) utilizing an active program of 30-60-90 or similar strategic sales program plan that is Monitored and Measured.

             -Coordinate inputs and receive output for Strategic Marketing from the Marketing Manager

             -Function as a Prime Resource, part of a Sr. Management Team, working directly with the Company President supporting the area of Outside Sales and Inside Sales including the Order Entry and related functions that are owned by Inside Sales.

             -Facilitating and Managing a work process in Sales to ensure good and smooth work flow and a balanced workload for load planning within Sales and in those areas that are affected by sales and bookings (Mfg. and Purchased products).

             -Provide active “Hands-on” guidance, coaching and mentoring for all sales resources.

             -Identify “At-Risk” accounts and execute strategies to retain those accounts.

             -Develop periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) sales reports monitoring proposals, sales presentations and new product sales strategies.

             -Create annual Sales Budget proposals and Monthly/Quarterly bookings predictions for budgetary planning.

             -Assist in the development and closing of New Business.

             -Evaluate the deployment of all sales resources to ensure proper personnel fit.

             -Hire, Fire, and Discipline all employees assigned to the Sales Department including the Sales Reps (through the Regional Sales Managers).

             -Determine the assignment and reassignment of new non-strategic accounts.

             -Work closely with the Applications Engineering Manager (as supervisor) and also the Operations Manager, Manager of Purchasing, Materials & Inventory, QA Manager, and VP, Finance as part of a Sr. Management Team under the direction of the President and company CEO.

Job Requirements

The Ideal Candidate for this position will possess:

            -5-10 years of successful business development experience with emphasis on Inside and Outside Sales Management.

            -Proven track record of success

            -Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

            -Excellent skills with ERP (MRP/SAP/MES) systems and computer skills that include computer sales tools.

             -Previous experience with OEM component sales - especially electronic components (not required but certainly would be a plus).

Education Requirements

At least a BA/BS in a sales or business major (MA/MS preferred).
