Medication Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant/Personal Care Assistants

Local Cranston Senior Living Community is looking for an organized individuals for our Med Tech and Caregiver positions. These positions are available immediately to the right person and will provide a challenging and rewarding opportunity.

These positions will report to and work closely with the Resident Care Director in carrying out daily tasks such as:

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a consistent level of professionalism with residents, family members and staff.
• Enforce compliance with all Administrative and Nursing Policies and procedures.
• Make accurate decisions and take appropriate actions, especially with regards to changes in resident status.
• Carry out all requests made by the Resident Care Director to the best of his/her ability.
• Keep the Resident Care Director informed of resident status and other related matters.
• Complete non-sterile treatments as ordered and as needed.
• Monitor nutrition as required/needed.
• Conduct/assure resident's participation in activities as appointed.
• Complete resident care assignment as directed.
• Responsibilities according to RI regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Candidates are expected to have:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Certificate issued by the State of RI permitting the administration of medications.
• Medication aide work experience preferred.
• Certified as a nursing assistant in the state of Rhode Island. (as of July 2010)
•  Proof of demonstrated competency in medication administration.
• Able to walk, stand, sit and bend intermittently.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds.
• Alzheimer/memory experience preferred.
