The Kent Center
The Kent Center's dedicated teams of mental health professionals do more than identify and treat an individual's symptoms. They are trained to look at the various aspects of each client's lifestyle and health issues and design a course of treatment to help them obtain their optimum level of wellness. We provide a compassionate atmosphere for people who are experiencing a mental health crisis, require medication assistance, or would benefit from alcohol and drug treatment programs. We counsel children, youths, young adults, and their families. We offer work-ordered day programs for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who want to join the workforce. We provide group homes, supervised housing, and residential and case management services. Our Riverwood Division houses the chronically homeless.
The Kent Center is a private, tax-exempt charitable organization. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance. We are licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, and our programs are certified by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Services.
