As a Clinical Supervisor in Looking Upwards Inc, Home Based Therapeutic Services, you will be responsible for individualized treatment plans to help children improve developmental and behavioral skills in partnership with their families.

With Looking Upwards PASS and HBTS programs, you'll work in a supportive environment with a qualified team of licensed social workers, licensed mental health counselors, treatment coordinators, developmental specialists, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists who are always willing to answer specific questions or collaborate for treatment consultation. Responsibilities

* Participate in intake of new client families, as well as in initial assessments and annual evaluations of children and families to contribute to the development of an HBTS/PASS Treatment Plan.

* Provide home visits to assigned caseload, for purposes of staff supervision, parent training and support, and monitoring the implementation of the HBTS/PASS treatment plan. Families are located throughout RI.

* For HBTS, provide clinical training to direct service staff and ongoing in home supervision of staff on a bi-monthly basis to ensure proper implementation of treatment interventions.

* For HBTS, model techniques for staff and/or work directly with a child receiving services.

* Address clinical issues and challenging behaviors including a functional behavioral analysis for providing direction to the home based worker.

* Provide some minimal case management and referral services to assigned caseload, including participation in interagency case conferences

* For HBTS, provide clinical supervision during social skills groups.

* Complete all necessary paperwork, including supervision progress notes, narrative reports of assessments, progress reports, treatment plans and discharge summaries

* Maintain appropriate communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies participating in each child's care.

* Collaborate as a transdisciplinary team member for program planning and delivery of services, including treatment consultations, as well as attending in- service trainings, team meetings, professional development, and group and individual supervision

* Evening availability required. Most shifts are between the hours of 3:00pm-7:00pm.

* Maintain compliance with all Looking Upwards policies, safety and medical standards, procedures, and EOHHS HBTS/PASS Certification Standards.

Our Consultants utilize a cognitive-behavioral, ecological model of intervention to help families adopt positive solutions to problems. Coordinates and completes assigned transportation responsibilities according to regular schedule. Ensures proper vehicle maintenance to maintain safety standards, and maintains cleanliness on transportation vehicle. Monitors and supervises the appropriateness of youth behaviors providing corrections as needed; ensures that passengers wear a seatbelt properly. Communicates with appropriate staff members regarding individual youth needs and progress. Administers appropriate first aid in the event of an accident.

Part Time Variable Schedule - could include weekends. Less than 20 hours per week.

Mornings (9-1) OR Afternoons (2-6)

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS

* High School diploma or equivalent. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

* Previous experience including driving preferred.

* Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check.

* Knowledge of vehicle and driver safety guidelines and regulations.

* Ability to safely navigate a vehicle in all weather and road conditions during the day and at night.

* Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner.

* Knowledge of the Boys Town Model.

We provide home based services to children with special needs and/or intensive behavior needs. Staff are hired to provide one on one support to a child for anywhere between 6-20 hours per week. We provide clinical supervision and on-site training.

This is an amazing opportunity if you are looking to gain valuable hands-on experience working closely with a child, family, clinician and coordinator.

These positions are currently available in the Newport County, Northern RI, East Bay, South County, and the Providence area. All positions are after school hours. A typical shift is 3:30-6:30 or 4:00-7:00 and most children have 3-4 shifts per week available.

HBTS rate of pay starts at $14/hr with possible increases to $14.42 at 6 months and $14.85 at 1 year.

PASS rates of pay range from $11-$13/hr depending on education and experience.

Paid internships are also available.

Previous experience working with children is preferred. Previous experience working with children or adults with special needs is a plus.

Candidates must have a minimum of a High School Diploma, a valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, a safe driving record and access to a dependable vehicle required. Prior to employment, successful candidate must also pass BCI background check and driving record check.

Boys Town New England is seeking an Youth Care Worker/Youth Counselor based in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. As our Youth Care Worker/Youth Counselor you will provide direct care for 6-8 at-risk youth in a safe and caring family style living environment. Working in conjunction with an assigned Family Teaching Couple, you will serve as an active member of the family home program team. Through the use of the Boys Town Model you will guide and teach youth appropriate skills and behaviors. You will use problem solving techniques to teach critical thinking and assist youth with behavioral problems. As our Assistant Family Teacher you will plan, participate, and provide opportunities for individual and family activities that are both educational and entertaining. You will provide youth with moral, spiritual, and educational development needed for future success. This includes providing emotional support, positive feedback, individualized attention, and empathy to build one's self-confidence and respect. You will serve as a positive role model displaying and teaching moral and ethical behaviors, as well as supporting participation in regular religious activities. You will monitor youth academic performance and continually provide support for educational success. You will also assist with youth transportation needs, household upkeep, and the daily operating schedule of the home. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and preparing written records for household budgeting, tracking youth progress, and reporting incidents/behaviors.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS

To be at least 21 years of age or older

Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic program in Social Work, Health, Human Services, or Education OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid driver's license with a good driving record and the ability to pass a MVR Check

Strong desire and ability to work with youth

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Sound judgment and ability to work with children in a mature and responsible manner

Willingness to work flexible hours, which will include nights, weekends, and holidays. Typical weekday hours are 2:00pm - 10:00pm and the ability to work two weekends per month

Ability to pass a thorough background check and reference verification procedure in order to determine one's fitness to satisfactorily and safely care for youth

Attend two weeks paid training in Omaha, Nebraska
